Logos Design has delivered a complete solution for automatic check-in and ticket terminals to Scandlines on the Rødby-Puttgarden and Gedser-Rostock crossings.
The solution is built up around Logos’ ACINA terminal solution implemented in variations that cover both vehicle and foot passengers.
The fully automatic solution ensures simple check-in with the scanning of reservations made beforehand as well as fast payment with Scandlines 10-trip card, Dankort, credit card or Brobizz for customers who have not reserved beforehand. Once the check-in is performed, the terminal opens the barrier and the motorist can drive onwards on the indicated lane.
The terminals’ customer interface and user flow is adapted to Scandlines needs and requirements.
Logos’ solution has an interface to Scandlines’ reservation and ticket system, Nets, Brobizz and ensures an overall system connection.
The overall terminal solution is monitored via ACI Manager, which provides the option of remote monitoring and controlling of:
- Operating status
- Cameras on roadways
- User dialogue on terminals
- Alarms and logs
- Opening and closing of barriers
Distributed between more than 90,000 departures and 12 ferries, in 2015 Scandlines transported a total of 15 million passengers, 3.3 million private cars, 900,000 freight units and 65,000 buses on the Rødby-Puttgarden, Gedser-Rostock and Helsingør-Helsingborg routes.
